I'm bad at this!

Wow, I'm really bad at this blogging thing! I find it really hard to sit down at the computer to post something without being interrupted about 100 times. I know if I can find the time to do this more regularly it'll be fun and good for me. Anyway...random blabbling...

I love this time of year. Advent has begun. We are living our traditions for this season. It makes me so happy to be able to pass along our faith to our children through such things as St. Nicholas' Feast day (which is celebrated today) and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception which is this Friday...these are only a few of the wonderful celebratory days during our church calender. But it's this time of year in particular that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The kids love it too!

That said...Merry Christmas!

My 3 year old son caught me off guard today...

I was changing the baby's diaper in the van when we had stopped to do an errand. My son says to me 'mommy where is Catherine's 'peanuts' (yes, that's what he calls his private area)? I responded with 'only boys have that part.' Then he proceeded with 'what do you call the girls part?'

I'm thinking to myself I can just hear it now I tell him what the girls part is called and then he goes around saying it or 'discussing' the difference between girls and boys. I didn't want that to start happening yet...he's only 3 can't it wait a couple years? I mean it's bound to happen at some point, but I'm really not ready for that right now, so I just said 'son, now really isn't a good time for us to be discussing this topic.'

Was that wrong? Any ideas on how to handle this in the future would be greatly appreciated!

I'm an official blogger! This'll be good! I'm excited to have a place to 'write' down some of life's stories. Like the title says...the good, the bad and the stuff that'll make ya laugh (especially all you mommies out there). Life around here can be pretty caotic sometimes. In the heat of the chaos nothing seems too funny, but looking back at the times...it's all pretty easy to laugh at.
